CANADA: FLIGHT BAN FROM INDIA EXTENDED UNTIL AUGUST 21
Canada's prohibition on inbound passenger flights from India has been extended for another month, according to Transport Minister Omar Alghabra. Alghabra explained that the extension of the travel ban was necessary because of the Delta variant of COVID-19 strain which.
The ban has now been extended for the fourth time. It was announced on the 22nd April 2021.
American citizens and permanent residents who are fully vaccinated will be permitted to enter Canada for non-essential travel from 9th August 2021, if their vaccinations have been completed at least 14 days ahead of their arrival. The Canadian government is also waiving the usual three-day quarantine (while the travellers wait for their test results) at a specified hotel for the fully vaccinated travellers, from 9th August 2021.
