75 COUNTRIES WILL BE EXEMPT FROM UK QUARANTINE RULES

Updated: Jul 16, 2021

UK Quarantine Rules

The UK is planning to grant an exemption to 75 countries from its blanket quarantine rules from 6th July 2020, which is great news for British holidaymakers and business people.

The countries with high rates of coronavirus like the US, Brazil etc. will not be included in the list. Hopefully, the low-risk countries like Australia and New Zealand will be on the list. A list of those 75 countries will be published by 3rd July 2020. The UK will be removing the ban for non-essential travel to almost all European Union countries.

There was a lot of pressure from the travel and the tourism industry in the UK to remove the quarantine rule. Once the rule is removed, the travellers from the UK to these listed countries do not have to quarantine for 14 days when they return to the UK.

Legislation and policy about immigration in the UK change quite often. Please make sure that you check the website of the UK Home Office for changes that may be applicable to you.
